Best Stereo Systems Turntables

Music may have come a long way, but there is still a certain charm and sound quality that comes out of a best rated turntable.

Vinyl record sales are heading up again and therefore so are stereo systems turntables. So, why areImage result for stereo turntable people going back to vinyl records? It is certainly not because they are more portable than MP3’s or even CD’s. We put a lot of time looking at vinyl turntable reviews as we looked for the best home turntable and came to a number of conclusions.

One thing to keep in mind when thinking about vinyl records today. The vinyl records made today are much higher quality than the ones pressed in the 60’s and 70’s. Yes, the older vinyl records still have a certain charm and unique sound quality when played on a stereo systems turntable but the newer vinyl records are a substantial step above those.

Here is what we found when going through our stereo turntables reviews.

  • Sound Quality. Real music coinsurers can tell the difference in overall sound quality and depth when listening to music on a top rated turntable as compared to an MP3 player. The sound seems more real on vinyl. Some say that they can almost feel the music when listening to vinyl and that digital music sounds flat and artificial.
  • Surface Noise. Strangely enough, people like the sound of the hum the needle makes when a top rated turntable needle weaves its way through the groves of a vinyl record. I must agree that the soft crackle can add a certain magic to the quality of the music.
  • CD’s and MP3 digital music isn’t exactly collectible. You can build quite a collection of vinyl records to play on a quality stereo turntable. Something to display like a fine art collection.
  • This probably goes to some degree toward collectible above. But in addition, for many people, playing that vinyl record on the turntable and carefully placing the needle on the record brings back pleasant memories from their pat.
  • Actually being able to touch the music gives some people a sense of owning the music in a way digital music cannot.
  • This also falls into the collectible section. Older vinyl records are valuable and their value will continue to increase over time. If you treat them with care and use top rated stereo systems turntables your vinyl record collection should last a long time.

How do you pick the best rated turntables?

We will tell you. Just kidding, well not really, that is what we are doing in our review. However, there are Image result for stereo turntablethings you can look for yourself. We tried to give you a variety of the best stereo turntables to choose from which means different price points and features.

You want a solid stereo turntable so it will absorb unwanted vibration. Like most things, the more solid it is the better it is. Keeping unwanted vibrations down greatly improve sound quality. You can also look for motors that are separate from the base to further reduce vibration.

Speed variation can tell you about how the vinyl record will sound. You are looking for a lower sound variation, less than .25% is better.

Really good manufactures will tell you about how much the signal to noise ratio is in a best rated stereo turntables. This tells you how much background noise to expect for a music signal level. You should look for something above 65dB

Playback speed is an obvious thing to look for in stereo turntable systems. You should have at least 33 1/3 and 45. You should also look for 78 if you can. Certainly if you have a large vinyl record collection of 78 rpm you need to make sure you can actually play it on your new home stereo systems turntable.

Many of the top features will only be available in the highest prices stereo turntables. That is something to keep in mind when pricing a turntable. We are going to give you a variety of price points below. There are high quality stereo turntables at various price points and we found the best ones we could. However, when it comes to high quality sound from a turntable price does make a difference.

If you have a million dollar vinyl collection, don’t buy a $150.00 stereo turntable. If you are just starting your collection or just wanted to casually listen to the pleasant sounds of a stereo turntable because you are tired of the canned sounds of MP3 digital music than you probably can find a quality $150.00 option.

We did our best to give you suggests that will not break your wallet but still give you great sound quality.
