Although we did not specifically look for the best cheap electric razor we do believe that we found a variety of the best rechargeable shavers for men in a respectable price range that should fit about any ones budget.
We have put together our top 10 electric razors and believe you can find the one that best fits your need. We did not specifically look for the best electric razor for head shaving but we are confident where there is a will, there is a way and most of these should do the job.
Although we are not going to go into how to use electric shaver, we think it is pretty self-explanatory; if not the come with instructions. Just make sure if you intend to use yours in the shower that it is actually a wet dry electric shaver. Certainly you DO NOT want to take a corded shaver in the shower. It would be a shocking experience for you … and most probably void the warranty. Although, if your life insurance is good your wife might be appreciative. Don’t worry, we focused on cordless electric shavers … just in case. Still, if it is not a wet dry shaver don’t take it in the shower. Just because it does not have a cord does not mean it is made for shower use. Read the instructions.

So why would you want an electric shaver?
Have you seen the price of razors lately? That is reason enough. Another reason is they are more convenient. You can get a fast shave anytime you want, very useful if you just need a quick touch up.
What are the common reasons not to use an electric razor? One is if you have sensitive skin an electric razor can irritate it more than regular shaving. Some people have also reported more ingrown hairs with an electric razor and they do not tend to shave you as close as a standard razor. But, you can easily shave multiple times with an cordless electric shaver if you need to. You can even shave at your desk should the need arise.
There are two primary types of electric shavers. One is the rotary electric shaver and the other is the foil electric shaver. Some reviewers say the rotary shaver cuts closer but to some degree it is a matter of preference.
What qualities should a good electric shaver have?
- Hey, if you are going with a top rated electric razor it should not have a cord. I mean why would you want one.
- Water proof. Not all the ones we reviewed are wet dry electric razors but if that is something that is important to you then that is a good quality for you to look for.
- A good electric shaver is not going to be dirt cheap but you should not have to mortgage the house either. However, when compared to regular razor prices you could pay a lot and still come out ahead.
- This is a two point issue. It should be comfortable on your face obviously but it should also be comfortable to hold. You are going to be holding this think at least once a day, it needs to fit your hand just right.
- Battery life. You should not have to recharge your electric razor every day and it should also charge quickly. We think they should last at least a week. Having an amount of charge left is a great quality also.
- Fast motor. Need to whack those hairs right off, not pull them out. Speed makes a difference.
- Sharp blades. Just like motor speed this is important to make sure the hairs are cut off and not pulled out.
- Should not get hot. No one wants 3rd degree burns while trying to shave.
- It is nice if they can shave longer hairs without pulling. Can be hard to find a good electric shaver that can do this.
- Easy cleaning. Being able to rinse it off in the sink is a great plus. But either way it should be easy to open up and clean.
