Today we are going to take a look at the Anumit Emergency Escape Ax Hammer, 16 in 1 multi-function hammer/axe.

This cool gadget for men has just about everything you could need in a survival situation. You have a hammer, ax, plier, knife, can opener, screwdriver, saw, wrench, window breaker, seat belt cutter and a few more things we aren’t quite sure what they do.
The pliers are little odd to use but remember this is a multi-function really cool gadget so you don’t always get the perfect ‘fit’ when you try to use the various items. That has always been the downfall of these multi-function types of products. You sacrifice a little of the comfort for the versatility of an all in one tool.
The overall size of the Anumi multi-function hammer/axe is not bad; it is about the size of a small hand held hatchet which is what you would expect. It is pretty well balanced overall, again this is a multi-tool not a performance tool.
We think it would make a cool Father’s day gift or a birthday gift for the guy who already has everything else. Overall, it is pretty good unusual gift for the man that has more stuff than he know what to do with anyway.
It also makes a great addition to a survival or bug out kit. The more tools you can get into a smaller package the better. It will help you make room for other items.

Pretty much everything you will need in a relatively small package. Great for a survival kit or just to keep in your glove compartment or truck as an emergency tool. Would also do really well as part of a camping or hiking kit. Perhaps even a fishing kit, but the pliers would be awkward to use in removing hooks on an ongoing basis. Fine for an emergency but I would not want to use it on every fish. Rather have a good set of fishing pliers for that.
We found it to be well crafted, not necessarily what we would classify as high end but you get your monies worth plus a little extra. The hatchet will probably need to be sharpened before you take it out into the field, we are assuming it doesn’t come really sharp for safety reason. This is an easy fix.
The cover of the hatchet could be a little tighter, might just be our experience but we did not see this as a huge negative.
The bottom line is we don’t see it as an everyday type of tool. But as an emergency gadget that might get you out of a jam.
